The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary made an arrest in Corner Brook following a robbery.
On Monday, officers received information a male had suffered what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries as a result of an incident on the west side of the city.
Responding officers were able to identify the suspect, and with the assistance of RNC Police Dog Services, located the man at a residence on Caribou Road.
The 26 year old male was arrested without incident and has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault, assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He was held in custody pending a court appearance later today.
The RNC Criminal Investigation Division is continuing its investigation into this matter.
