CIBC donates Trent Butt property to Carbonear

April 10, 2017

CIBC said in a statement that they have transferred 12 Hayden Heights to the town of Carbonear.

The property was once the home of five-year-old Quinn Butt. She died in a house fire on the property.

Her father, Trent Butt, has been charged with first-degree murder. Police allege that he killed Quinn and then set fire to his home.

This happened on April 24, 2016.

In addition to the property CIBC is also donating $5000 to O'Shaughnessy House. O'Shaughnessy House serves as a shelter for abused women and children.
