Vehicle Transfer Services Available Online

The provincial government has expanded services offered online. Anyone who purchases a previously-owned vehicle through private sale can now transfer the vehicle registration online.

A Vehicle Transfer page has been added to the Motor Registration website.

To make the transfer process easier the process to transfer a vehicle is outlined on the website for both the seller and purchaser and Bill of Sale requirements.

The purchaser is able to drive their new vehicle while waiting for their vehicle transfer request to be processed, as long as the seller’s vehicle registration permit, bill of sale and Public Liability Insurance Card are kept in the vehicle while it is being operated.
