Unemployment rate falls

The national and provincial unemployment rate is down.
Canada added 154,000 jobs in November dropping the unemployment rate by 0.8 percent. Employment increased in both the services-producing and goods-producing sectors.
Employment is now one percent higher than its pre-COVID February 2020 level.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, employment rose by 9,100 (+4.1%). This was the first notable increase since March 2021.
