U.K. suspended some arms exports to Israel

The government of the United Kingdom has suspended some arms exports to Israel over the risk of breaking international law.

The announcement comes as the bodies of six Israeli hostages were discovered.

Israeli Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant said he is "deeply disheartened to learn of the sanctions placed by the U.K. Government."

U.K. Foreign Secretary David Lammy made the announcement on Monday. The ban includes components for military aircraft including fighter jets, helicopters and drones. The arms also include items used for ground targeting.
