Trudeau will address Canadians today

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will hold a news conference today as protests in Ottawa drag on for a third day.

As of this morning, vehicles continue to block access to downtown Ottawa. There are very few people on the grounds of Parliament Hill.

Trudeau remains in isolation after one of his children tested positive for COVID-19. While the Prime Minister remains in the National Capital Region, he is not at Rideau Cottage due to security concerns.

The House of Commons resumes sitting today. The Prime Minister will attend virtually.

Meanwhile, Ottawa Police are asking people who live or work in the downtown area to work from home where possible.
