Support for Federal Liberal Government Grows

National support for the governing Liberal Party is up according to a recent poll conducted by Abacus Data.

Over the past year, the support for the federal government has gone up from 36 percent in January 2020 to 45 percent in December 2020.

The Liberals have 35 percent support and the Conservative party has 32 percent support.

If there was a federal election at the time the survey was conducted, the Liberals are ahead of the Conservatives by 3 percentage points.

The NDP is in a distant third at 17%. Both the Bloc Québécois and the Green Party have 7 percent support.

Compared with January, there has been almost no change in national vote intention.
