Studded tire season extended

If you have been putting off taking off your winter tires, you can put it off a little longer.

The April 30 deadline to remove studded tires in the province is being extended to Tuesday, May 31.

While the Avalon and most of Eastern Newfoundland has very little snow remaining on the ground, the same cannot be said for the central and western parts of the province. The extension is due to the continuation of winter-like conditions in those areas.
