Stanley Cup Finals start tonight

Tonight the Tampa Bay Lightning will face off against the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado for the Stanley Cup Finals.

This marks the first time the teams will go head to head in the playoffs. Both teams have made it to the Finals in the past. Colorado made it to the Finals three times and this marks Tampa Bay's third consecutive Finals appearance and fifth overall.

All eyes will be on Alex Newhook, the St. John's native, who made his NHL debut on May 5, 2021, in a Colorado Avalanche 3–2 loss to the San Jose Sharks.

Tonight's game starts at 9:30 pm NL time.

The last possible date for the series on June 28.
