Stanley Cup coming to St. John's in August

The Stanley Cup is coming to St. John's on August 22.

The City of St. John’s will be hosting a parade and celebration for Alex Newhook of the Colorado Avalanche from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

The Stanley Cup parade will depart Bannerman Park at 2:00 pm and travel down Military Road, Ordnance Street, Duckworth Street, Prescott Street, and Water Street.

The parade will travel through the Downtown Pedestrian Mall until it reaches George Street, where Newhook will take the stage with the Stanley Cup.

Metrobus will operate on a load-and-go schedule between 12:30 and 2 p.m. from The Village Shopping Centre parking lot and will drop off in front of the St. John’s Convention Centre. GoBus customers may reserve their ride by contacting GoBus directly.
