Serious accident between Harbour Grace and Carbonear

UPDATE: The highway has reopened.

Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious two vehicle head on collision on the Veterans Memorial Highway between Harbour Grace and Carbonear.

There is no word on any injuries.

The highway between Incinerator Road and Jamie’s Way will remain closed for an undetermined period of time as the RCMP investigate the incident.

For the time being, traffic is being detoured through Harvey Street in Harbour Grace

Motorists can expect traffic delays in the area.
