Search underway for missing Canadian Armed Forces member Deployed to Latvia

A Canadian Armed Forces member deployed on Operation REASSURANCE in Latvia has been reported missing. The member has been missing since Tuesday.

An investigation is underway, and search efforts are ongoing.

The missing member is Warrant Officer George Hohl, a Vehicle Technician from 408 Tactical Helicopter Squadron based in Edmonton, Alberta.

He was last seen in Ādaži, Latvia. Latvian Police forces are leading the investigation with support from the Canadian Forces Military Police and the NATO Multinational Brigade, which are actively conducting search operations using all available resources.

The next of kin has been notified and is being provided with support.
