RNC Make Arrests Related to Violent Attacks in Mount Pearl
Several people have been arrested and the RNC is investigating reports of multiple violent events involving youth in Mount Pearl.
Over the last week, RNC received multiple reports related to violent events involving youth suspects in Mount Pearl. The events involved multiple youth suspects attacking other unsuspecting youth. The events have included weapons and theft of property. In some cases, the victims have sustained significant, non-life threatening, physical injuries.
Additional arrests are expected. Charges pending include; possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault causing bodily harm, robbery, assault, and uttering threats.
Police are seeking any information or video footage related to the violent events at the following times and locations:
Monday (Jan. 15) at St. Peter’s Junior High, Mount Pearl, at 11:00 a.m.
Tuesday (Jan. 16) in the area of Old Placentia Road and Munden Drive, Mount Pearl at 2:30 p.m.
Wednesday (Jan. 17) at the Reid Community Center, Mount Pearl between 7 p.m. and 7:25 p.m.
Saturday (Jan. 20) on Jeffers Drive, Mount Pearl at 6 p.m.
