RNC arrest stunt driver with warrant

On Wednesday evening the RNC responded to a report of erratic driving in the area of Waterford Valley High School on Topsail Road in St. John’s.

When an officer arrived on the scene, they observed a vehicle doing donuts, referred to as stunting.

The vehicle came to a stop moments later, parking near the school. The operator was identified by the officer, at which time the officer confirmed that the operator of the vehicle was operating with a suspended driver’s license.

In addition, an arrest warrant was in effect in connection with an RCMP investigation.

The 19-year-old man from St. John’s was placed under arrest in relation to the warrant for his arrest.

He was issued tickets for stunting and operating a motor vehicle while suspended. The vehicle was impounded due to infractions. The man was held in custody to appear in Provincial Court in connection with the RCMP matter.
