Public Accounts Committee Following Up on Matters Contained in Auditor General’s Report

The Public Accounts Committee will be actively following up on matters contained in the Auditor General’s Report on the Province’s 2023 Financial Statement Audits.

The Committee met this week with the Auditor General for a preliminary discussion on the report and its findings and shared her concerns that there were 91 outstanding issues across the government reporting entity, up from 30 in 2022.

The Public Accounts Committee will initiate follow-up activities in the coming months to ensure there are plans in place to take timely action on correcting these deficiencies.
