Princess Anne injured and unable to attend Centennial of the Newfoundland National War Memorial


The Princess Royal, Princess Anne has been hospitalized after an incident at Gatcombe Park estate yesterday evening.


A statement from Buckingham Palace stated that Princess Anne sustained minor injuries and a concussion following an incident.


Princess Anne remains in Southmead Hospital, Bristol, as a precautionary measure for observation and is expected to make a full and swift recovery.


The King has been kept closely informed and joins the whole Royal Family in sending his fondest love and well-wishes to The Princess for a speedy recovery.


Premier Andrew Furey said, “I was saddened to hear of Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, Princess Anne’s accident and that she is no longer able to join us as we mark the commemorative events associated with the Centennial of the Newfoundland National War Memorial.
