Prime Minister Mark Carney held his first press conference since winning the election this afternoon.
Carney laid out his government's agenda.
On Tuesday, Carney confirmed that he will meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in Washington.
During the week of May 12, the cabinet will be sworn in. Parliament will resume on May 26, and the Speech from the Throne will be delivered on May 27. King Charles III will deliver the Speech, and Queen Camilla will also be in attendance.
In his speech, Carney said he will focus on building houses, tackling crime, and increasing the strength of the military. He also promised to deliver on a middle-class tax cut by July 1.
