Premier of Prince Edward Island Dennis King Resigning

Premier of Prince Edward Island Dennis King has announced he will resign as premier and leader of the Progressive Conservative Party as of 12:00pm on February 21.

King assumed office on May 9, 2019.

He was first elected as leader of the Progressive Conservative Party and led his party to win a minority of seats in the Legislative Assembly and won his seat in the district of Brackley-Hunter River. His party acquired 12 seats overall.
