Police investigating fatal collision near Bellevue

The RCMP are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that happened on Wednesday afternoon on the TCH east of the Bellevue turn-off.

There was a head-on collision between a car and an SUV. The car was travelling east and crossed over to the westbound lane and collided with the SUV.

Behind the wheel of the car was a 22-year-old man. He was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.

The two occupants of the SUV were transported to the Community Health Care Centre in Whitbourne for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
