Ottawa Police launches several criminal investigations in relation to protesters

Ottawa Police have launched several criminal investigations in relation to the protesters in the nation's capital.

Investigations are underway in relation to the desecration of the National War Memorial and Terry Fox statue.

There are separate investigations involving threatening, illegal, and intimidating behaviour to officers, city workers and other individuals. A city vehicle was also damaged.

Investigative and evidence-gathering teams are in place.

Some protesters are trying to leave the downtown area and police are working to get them out. A large number of protesters remain.
