New law stops protests at healthcare sites

As of Sunday, new legislation came into effect to protect healthcare professionals.

The new law makes it illegal to intimidate doctors, nurses, and patients. It also prohibits people from obstructing others from providing care or seeking treatment.

Since the onset of the pandemic, there have been several instances of protesters showing up at hospital sites and vaccine clinics preventing people from accessing sites and intimidating healthcare workers.
