New COVID-19 Regional Restrictions Implemented in Ontario

In response to the latest wave of new COVID-19 cases in Ontario, new regional restrictions have been implemented.

As of today, indoor dining at restaurants and bars is prohibited. Gyms will be closed, as will movie theatres and casinos in Toronto, Peel Region and Ottawa.

Most of the new cases are in those three regions.

Other parts of the province are not impacted.

This measure will be in effect for at least 28 days.

Ontario confirmed 393 news cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
