NAPE sounding alarm over bullying and harassment at Department of Motor Vehicles
NAPE is sounding the alarm over what it describes as "instances of bullying and harassment, at the Department of Motor Vehicles."
NAPE says these issues are impacting the number of Highway Enforcement Officers available for work.
Highway Enforcement Officers are provincial officers who perform technical inspections on all vehicles used in the transportation industry and enforce laws, regulations, and standards governing the province's highway transportation system.
In 2008 the province had about 47 highway enforcement officers, and today that number is down to 21 for the entire province.
