Man charged with weapon offences after incident in east end of St. John's


On Tuesday afternoon the RNC received a report of unknown trouble in the east end of St. John's.


Responding officers were advised by residents that there had been a male in the area with a firearm and that the male had shot at a person and a residence in the area.


A 29-year-old male suspect was located and was arrested. He was charged with numerous offences including assault with a weapon, using a firearm in the commission of an offence, discharging a firearm with reckless intent, mischief under $5000.00, and multiple breaches of a release order.


The male was held there to appear in court. There were no injuries reported at this time.
