Man arrested in St. John's after assault with a weapon

The RNC responded to a report of a domestic disturbance just after midnight last night in the east end of St. John’s.

Responding officers located a female with injuries at the scene.

As a result, a 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and forcible confinement.

The male was transported to the St. John’s city lockup and is being held for a court appearance this morning.
