Man arrested after tripping over flip flops

On July 5, 2024 at 8:50 pm RNC members were conducting patrols in the downtown area of St. John’s when they recognized a

wanted male walking.

Police exited the vehicle and gave chase, eventually catching up to the suspect when he tripped over his flip flops.

After a brief struggle, the police took custody of the 43 year old male. Police conveyed

him to the St. John’s lockup; charged with resisting arrest, breach of a release order and breach of probation.
