Jason King hired as assistant coach of the Minnesota Wild
Jason King has a new job as an assistant coach of the Minnesota Wild.
The Corner Brook native was most recently an assistant coach of the Vancouver Canucks and was previously hired by the IceCaps as an assistant coach and later as Director of Hockey Operations.
As a hockey player, King played for the Vancouver Canucks and the Anaheim Ducks in the NHL.
While serving as an assistant coach with the IceCaps, King helped the team advance to the Calder Cup Final and a franchise record 99 points. It was the first time the team advanced to the final.
King joins the staff of Head Coach Dean Evason, along with Assistant Coaches Bob Woods and Darby Hendrickson, Goaltending Coach Frederic Chabot, Video Coaches Jonas Plumb and T.J. Jindra, and Strength and Conditioning Coach Matt Harder.
