Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has narrowly won a leadership review but has announced that he is stepping down as leader of the United Conservative Party.

In the review, Kenney garnered 51.4 percent support, enough to remain as party leader.

For the time being, Kenney will remain as leader until a successor is chosen.

He became the leader of the party in 2017 and served as premier since 2019.
