If MacKay Wins Conservative Leadership, He Plans to Topple Government This Fall #CDNpoli

If Peter MacKay wins the Conservative Party leadership, Canadians could be heading to the polls as soon as this fall.

MacKay said he will try to topple the Liberal Government as soon as October.

Under his leadership, MacKay promised to "bring a motion of non-confidence to the House of Commons. We will defeat the minority Liberal government as soon as possible."

Mackay cited the recent rail blockades and job layoffs as the main reason to topple the minority government.

In total there are eight candidates seeking to win the Conservative party leadership. Mackay is considered to be the front-runner.
