Government Awards Consultant Contract for St. John's Health Care Infrastructure

The Provincial Government has selected Deloitte Inc. to complete an assessment of acute care service delivery in the Northeast Avalon region.

At 2.1 million, the contract will support the development of a master plan and program for a new hospital to replace St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital and the new Cardiovascular and Stroke Institute to be constructed at the Health Sciences Centre.

This study will determine the space and location requirements, site options for the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital replacement, and the optimization of new healthcare infrastructure.

The report is due later this year.
