Government appoints new Assistant Deputy Minister to recruit health care professionals

The provincial government has appointed Dr. Megan Hayes as Assistant Deputy Minister of Health Professional Recruitment and Retention.

In the role, Hayes will be responsible for attracting health care professionals to the province.

The Provincial Government is attempting to promote better recruitment and retention strategies – particularly in rural parts of the province.

It's not only doctors, but nurses, pharmacists, psychologists, and other health care professionals are being recruited.
