Gander International Airport reports revenue is down

The Gander International Airport held its Annual Public Meeting yesterday.

2022 was not a food year for the airport. Total revenue for 2022 reached $6.5 million, representing a seven percent increase compared to the previous year when adjusted for one-time COVID-19 funding and grants.

The Gander International Airport Authority posted revenue for 2022 was almost $4 million less than the revenue recorded in 2019, $10.4 million.

Operating expenses also increased by $2.1 million.

Further losses are expected until air service recovers to pre-pandemic levels.
