Furey reissues call to pause carbon tax

Premier Andrew Furey has sent another letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau calling on the Prime Minister to pause the carbon tax increase that takes effect today.

Furey asked the Prime Minister to hold a meeting to discuss alternatives to the carbon tax.

In the letter, Furey pointed to the vast and sparsely populated province and that there is no rail or subway system for people to avail of to travel and to get goods to places.
