Funding Announced for Multicultural Women’s Organization

The provincial government has announced $142,625 in funding for the Multicultural Women’s Organization of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Funding will be used to assist the organization in providing core services including information sharing and referral services, public education and outreach, and community leadership.

The Multicultural Women’s Organization of Newfoundland and Labrador delivers programs and services that focus on concerns and needs of newcomer, immigrant and refugee women and their families, and recognizes and responds in a gender-based, culturally appropriate manner.
