FireSmart Grants Awarded to Communities

Six recipients in Newfoundland and Labrador have been awarded 2020 FireSmart Canada Wildfire Community Preparedness Day Grants valued at $500 each to help fund local projects aimed at reducing the risk of wildfire damage to homes and properties in and around their communities.

This year’s recipients include the City of Corner Brook, Town of Woody Point, Town of Indian Bay, Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm, Sheaves Cove Recreation Committee and Bishop’s Falls Fire Department.
