Fire destroys Deer Lake landmark
The Town of Deer Lake lost a landmark last night.
Deer Lake Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the bandstand on Bowater Field.
The bandstand had been a landmark in the community for years, it was also the site of the Deer Lake Strawberry Festival.
There is no word on the cause of the fire.
