Fire at Corner Brook Waste Disposal Site

The Corner Brook Fire Department was called to the Wild Cove Waste Disposal Site on the North Shore Highway on Route 440 this morning.

Crews responded around 7:00 am to a call that garbage was on fire inside the facility.

There was no hydrant nearby so crews had to shuttle water from the nearest hydrant back at Ballam Bridge.

There is no word on what caused the fire.
