FFAW hold rallies in St. John's and Corner Brook

The FFAW held rallies in St. John's and Corner Brook to protest what the union calls unfairness in the setting of fish prices.

The Union is calling for more processing licenses to be issued, pass legislation capping the growth of the big 5 processing companies at current levels, a second price reconsideration that allows for prices to harvesters to be adjusted to the market, transparency from the processing sector to provide more fairness in collective bargaining, and for the province provide support to crack down on illegal control of inshore fishing licenses.

All of these demands have been ignored according to the union.
