Facebook is down for users around the world

Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp were all unresponsive early on Monday afternoon.

The websites and apps, collectively all owned by Facebook, went down for users around the world.

Users were quick to take to Twitter to report the problem.

Facebook has not yet released a statement.
