Essential Workers to Earn Extra Money

Prime Minister announced on Thursday that some workers considered essential will be receiving a pay raise.

The federal government has reached an agreement with all provinces and territories to increase the rate of pay for some people.

The amount of the raise will vary by province.

The Government of Canada will provide up to $3 billion in support to increase the wages of low-income essential workers. Each province or territory will determine which workers would be eligible for support.
