Driver arrested after crash in Reef’s Harbour

Earlier this month the RCMP arrested a 41-year-old woman after a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Route 430 near Reef’s Harbour on the Great Northern Peninsula.

Port Saunders RCMP received a report of a crash and attended the scene. The driver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was arrested for impaired driving.

Additionally, the driver was suspended from driving and did not have insurance or registration, she was also found to be in breach of a condition of a court release order.

She was released from custody, ticketed for the applicable violations, received a further licence suspension and the vehicle was seized and impounded.

The accused will appear in court at a later date.
