Canada takes gold at World Juniors


Canada has won the World Juniors after an overtime win against Czechia.


Canada beat Czechia by a score of 3 to 2. In the first period, Canada scored once and picked up another score in the second period. Czechia scored twice in the third sending the game into overtime with Canada scoring once more goal, taking the game.


Dylan Guenther scored the overtime goal.


This is the 20th time Canada has won the World Juniors.


The event was held in both Halifax, NS and Moncton, NB. This is the 18th time Canada is hosting the WJIHC.
