Four more deaths related to COVID-19

Newfoundland and Labrador has 596 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 today, March 9. On Tuesday, March 8, there were 535 new cases.

There were also four more deaths due to the virus.

There are 20 people in hospital.

After being in place for about two years, as of Monday, the provincial health emergency will end.

Health Minister John Haggie said that the briefing today will be the last COVID-19 briefing.
