30 New COVID-19 Cases, Restrictions Implemented


Today there are 30 new cases of COVID-19 in the province. All are located in the Eastern Health Region.


There are 57 active cases. 83,360 people have been tested.


Beginning tonight special health measures will be implemented in the St. Johns area.


All group activities are suspended. All gyms and recreational facilities will close along with bars, lounges, and cinemas. Retail stores, personal service, animal grooming businesses along with restaurants can remain open.


This measure will be in effect for two weeks.


Gatherings run by a business or organization are limited to 20 people providing physical distancing can be maintained. This includes funerals, weddings, and faith-based gatherings. Wakes are prohibited.
