Bomb Kills 78 in Somalia

There was an explosion at a security checkpoint in Mogadishu, Somalia on Saturday morning.

A truck bomb exploded killing 78 people and wounding at least 125 people during the morning rush hour.

Police say that a tax collection centre was the intended target.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed says that the al-Shabab group is responsible for the attack.

This attack was the worst since a bombing that killed hundreds in 2017.
