RNC Locate Missing Person Mohamed Salim

On Sunday, February 12, 2017, the RNC received a missing person report for 28 year old Mohamed Salim. Salim, who had been visiting this province from Toronto, Ontario, was last seen on Thursday, February 9, 2017 in the area of Dawes Road in Paradise where a home invasion had occurred.

At that time, his involvement was not clear, however since then; an arrest warrant had been issued for his role during that incident.

The RNC regrets to advise that the body located on Friday morning just after 8:00 am in a gravel worksite off of the TCH, west of St. John’s, is that of Mohamed Salim.

Police have been working with the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine a cause of death which has been ruled not to be suspicious.
