On Friday, the House of Commons unanimously adopted a motion "to condemn Whole Foods and its owner Jeff Bezos for banning its employees from wearing poppies on their uniform".

Ontario Premier Doug Ford called the decision "disgusting and disgraceful", and said he would introduce legislation to permit the wearing of poppies.
