Several people arrested and weapons seized at Coutts, Alberta

The RCMP in Alberta executed a search warrant on some of the demonstrators at the Coutts, Alberta border crossing early this morning.

Officers seized several weapons and arrest 11 people.

Among the items seized were:

  • 13 long guns

  • handguns

  • multiple sets of body armour

  • machete

  • large quantity of ammunition

  • high capacity magazines

Police were informed that there was a willingness among demonstrators to use force against officers.

A tractor and semi-truck had attempted to ram a police vehicle. Officers have seized the vehicles.
