Hurricane Larry has sustained winds this morning at 155 km/h with higher gusts.
Larry is expected to impact eastern Newfoundland on Friday night. Winds will begin to increase on Friday afternoon and reach their strongest overnight. On Saturday winds will still be gusty but will begin to diminish.
Gradual weakening is forecast during the next couple of days, but Larry is expected to remain a hurricane.
By Saturday, Larry should become an extratropical cyclone.
On Monday, Larry will be absorbed by a larger low east of Greenland.
Today or Friday morning you should secure any loose objects outside or bring objects inside. This includes items such as lawn furniture, barbeques, and lawn ornaments.
