Minister John Haggie held a virtual media availability today to discuss PCR testing for COVID-19.
Haggie says there has been no changes to the eligibility of those who can get a PCR test. Minister says there has been misinformation circulating.
Haggie mentioned that staff need to return to regular duties and reduce the strain on lab testing capabilities.
Here is a flowchart if you are a close contact of someone who has COVID-19.
If you were infected with COVID-19 in the last 3 months, you do not need to get tested. If you have symptoms, self-isolate until your symptoms have improved with no fever for at least 24 hours.
If you do not have symptoms, you do not need to self-isolate.
